About the company
Makalb is a privately owned construction and quarrying company that has been established in 1997 with the opening of the quarry near the village of Grupchin, municipality of Želino.
Dedicated to providing high-quality construction materials and services to the clients in North Macedonia and beyond.
The flagship operation is a state-of-the-art quarry with a production capacity of 100 ton/hour. The quarry has immense reserves of calcite limestone and is operated under a concession agreement that allows extracting millions of tons of limestone (CaCO3) over the next 30 years, with the possibility of extension for another 60 years.
The quarry produces different fractions of granulate that are widely used in construction projects such as road building, plastering, facades, and the construction of lower structures for highways and other types of roads. The company is also engaged in the construction of various facilities including roads, sidewalks, curbs, tiles, and parking lots for motor vehicles.
The construction mechanical equipment allows carrying out earthworks, including various excavations, embankments, and compaction with the transport of construction materials with the quality standards provided by the regulations and Construction Norms valid in the Republic of North Macedonia.

Milestone
a small step in construction business but a giant leap for the company
Our company’s materials were supplied to the Greek company “Terna”, which participated in the construction of the Corridor 8 highway (Skopje bypass), as well as all the parking lots around the Boris Trajkovski sports hall, the parking lots at the Skopje International Airport, in the projects carried out by the “Public Enterprise for Streets and Roads” in the city of Skopje and many other facilities.
Our company is an authorized member of SAM.gov, the official platform of the U.S. Government. Serves as a System for Award Management, enabling us to bid on a wide range of government contracts.

Taking under concession the location Dobarski Žeden near the village of Debarce.

Start of production at the Makalb quarry in partnership with the German company Krebs und Kiefer with headquarters in Germany

Expansion of the production capacity and the sale of materials from our quarry.

2009
The change of the company structure and shareholders.
Eng. Mr. Shefki Aliti takes over the 100% ownership.
2012
Investments in operational machinery, construction machinery and expansion of the company’s capacities in the field of low and high construction.
Successful implementation of all contracts in the construction sector.
2014
Awarded the first contract for the construction of sports hall.
Project of about 45 sports halls throughout the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia, as a subcontractor of the company Granit AD Skopje.
2018
Awarded the B license for construction.
License stands for capacity fulfillments and standards to participate in the construction of various residential and industrial buildings.
2019-2022
Building 14 sport halls.
The sport halls where build within 3 years in various locations all over North Macedonia.
2019
Investments in stone crusher, new machinery system with increased production capacity from 100t/H to 300T/H.
Modern machinery that meets the needs of our company for sufficient supply of our contractors with quality materials and sufficient quantities, meeting all production standards.
2020
Change of the ownership structure in the company.
Orgest Aliti and Burim Murati, enter the ownership structure. Reorganization of the company, completion of the administrative technical staff, engagement of two construction engineers who follow, organize and take care of the work in the construction sector.
2021
Year of great challenges and achievements.
During this year we successfully completed 10 serious projects in the framework of the construction sector, including the following: 5 sports halls, 1 residential block in Tetove, 1 industrial facility for industry automotive industry, we take an active part in the realization of the Asnom-Skopje boulevard. We produced about 200,000 fractions for our customers and we did concreting of 20,000m2

Three projects as a new milestone
A modern nursery school for children in the municipality of Gostivar, We built a private hotel in Skopje.
